ABOUT THE PLAY: Greater Tuna” is the hilarious comedy about Texas’ third smallest town where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies. The eclectic band of citizens that make up this town are portrayed by only two performers. There are Arles and Thurston: the folky radio hosts, Bertha Bumiller: a beleaguered housewife, Pearl Burra: chicken farmer known for poisoning dogs, R.R. Snavely: a drunken UFOlogist, Petey Fisk: the one-man Greater Tuna Humane Society, Charlene Bumiller: Stanley’s twin sister and cheerleader reject, Vera Carp: society matron and vice president of the Smut Snatchers of the New Order, to name only a few of the rollickingly hilarious characters in Tuna, Texas. This is a fun show to watch, and a fun show to play!
