“My art is a form of abstract art that I like to call covert realism. Surrealist works feature the element of surprise with unexpected juxtapositions and non sequitur. I, however, create my images from realities that are hidden within realistic images. My art does not attempt to represent external reality, but seeks to achieve its effect by manipulating shapes, forms, colors, and textures through digital techniques.”
~ Randall Talley
Randall Talley interest in art and imaging started at an early age of nine. There was a photographer that lived in his neighborhood and taught young Randy how to shoot a cameras, process film and to print images. Since that time, he has been involved in imaging in one form or another, which includes his first summer job at fourteen developing prints, working as a photographic reproduction cameraman and free-lance photographer. He attended the professional photography program at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Most of his adult career was in healthcare and medical imaging. Photography and art continues to be a passion.
This is Randall Talley second art exhibit since arriving in Cuenca. For more information on Cuenca’s Art Walk, click here.
