Red Horse Theatre Lab Play Days
August 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th 6-9 p.m.
FISHBON del SUR, 14-25 Mariscal Lamar
Fishbon del Sur has been chosen to participate in an international theatre festival being held in August in Cuenca and the surrounding area. We will be doing a short play called The Red Horse written by Clay Bodine and originally produced in Santa Barbara, California in 2003. A black comedy that takes place in the de-industrializing Midwestern rust belt sometime in the future, the play tells the story of a troupe of sleazy sideshow entertainers who have been relegated to impromptu street performances to make ends meet. It’s a commentary on the compromises many Americans have had to make since the great “offshoring” of factory jobs in the early 21st century.
The awesome cast includes: Hugh Loomis, Kris Loomis, David Chirnside, Patricia Villenueve, Laura Inks Bodne, and Deborah Esposito. Bob Fry will stage manage.
It’s a fun, collaborative show and we’re looking for people interested in helping make it happen. We need artists, costumers, set designers, builders, musicians, sound designers, lighting designers and more.
The show will be presented at the Sucre Theatre 1/2 block from Parque Calderon in El Centro.
